DJ Awards 2014 winners announced

The 17th edition of the DJ Awards came to an end. With nominees in 11 categories voted for by the public, from Trance to Techno, Tech House to Deep House and 11 Special Awards judged by an independent music panel, including Ibiza DJ, Track of the Season and Record Label of the Year.

Big shot of the evening was Carl Cox, winning both of the awards of his nominated categories: Techno & International DJ. Well deserved reward for 3 decades playing music at the top.

Another grand prize winner was Patrick Topping, who won 2 awrads. One for Newcomer and one for Track of the season (‘Forget’).

Amin Van Buuren snagged away his 7th award. He topped the Trance category.

This year 2 new categories were introduced: Breakthrough and Electronica. Winners are Mano Le Tough and Diplo respectively.

Innervisions received Record Label of the Year, with co-founder Dixon accepting the award, and Native Instruments took home the Cutting Edge award.

The track selection reflects the Ibiza summer vibes from day to night, with some of these tracks first breaking on dance floors in Ibiza and ending up as DJ Awards Tracks of the Season winners.
