Raw & pure. Theo Schmitt – The Game Remixes

Theo Schmitt
Claudio Capo

Here is a solid release you ought to hear. The first time we heard these tracks not so long ago, we were blown away. Ahead of his debut artist album, on one of our favorite imprints Re:Sound music, German artist Theo Schmitt is dropping a remix package of the album’s title track ‘The Game’. Theo knows his way around with techno. Playing around since the 90’s, he sure knows his style, going from experimental techno to house music.

Theo Schmitt’s ‘The Game’ is raw & pure in its essence.

‘The Game’ is raw & pure in its essence. This track consists out of a rhythmic structure in which melody and techno gracefully blend. The overall mood with is driving rhythms is a heavy power play to create that perfect body jam perfection.

Re:Sound label boss Michael Hooker has his take on the original and teams up with M.E.E.O. Both are no strangers to each other and deliver a heavy hitting progressive fuelled remix. Slow from the start but soon after the turbo goes on with a real nice rolling bass. If the original already is going to make you sweat, this one will keep your shirt sticking to your body. After the break, they’ve built in unadulterated hands in the air feeling.

The other remix comes from Lunar Plane. It’s been while since we wrote about them. They surely are an indisputable favorite artistic duo and we love the fact they get to this remix. Powering up the track with their so known sound & melodic flare and trademark emotional spark. They’ve turned ‘The Game’ into an emotive and bittersweet gem filled with lush pads, drawn out rifts, and sparse atmospherics twist.
