Rising US producer, DJ, and vocalist Kahnti returns to unquantize with her debut album “One Love,” a project that sharpens the sonic identity she’s been building across the Afro, deep, and soulful house spectrum, since she landed on the scene last year. The LP threads together percussive, afrocentric grooves, jackin’ rhythms, and atmospheric melodies, topped with spoken-word passages and airy vocal work. It’s an impressive body of work pulsing with the sounds of the underground, crafted with emotional depth and intention.
The title track, “One Love,” opens the album with warm Afro-house textures and grounded percussion, giving an immediate framing of the album’s intentional theme of connection. “Free’Dom” pushes deeper into a spiritual zone, driven by rolling drums and airy vocal phrases that reflect her focus on rhythm. Tracks like “UBA” and “Mirage” widen the palette as they both lean into deeper, mood-heavy territory, contrasting with the uplifting “Spiritual Boogie,”. “My Boo Thang,” already one of her stand out single releases, returns on the album along with a collaborative remix with DJ Spen, adding a polished, classic signature unquantize touch. “Just Dance (And Do It)” slides into a more straightforward deep-house groove, grounding the record in its broader house lineage. The closing stretch centres on “Energy,” both in its original form and Geoffrey C’s rework. Geoffrey’s remix amplifies the album’s momentum with punchier drums and sharp movement that captures the uplift at the core of Kahnti’s work.
“One Love’ is about the healing power of rhythm – energy and sound that lift the spirit,” Kahnti says, and the record makes that ethos tangible. Every track is built from tactile percussion, spiritual undertones, and sublime vocal textures, forming an album that moves between meditation and motion without breaking cohesion – this is one for the dancers!
Kahnti ‘One Love’ Album will be released on Traxsource promo on November 28th / Full release on December 12th 2025 on unquantize.
