Mike Tohr’s captivating Minerals

Mike Tohr

For those that favour deep house vibes with a nice groove, then the release from the Belgian-based Mike Tohr is one to add to your music collection. His EP “Minerals” is freshly released via the fabulous Atmosphere records.

For this installment, Mike invited three of his label comrades to join him in the studio. Together with Amari (a Ramon Tapia side project), Nico Morano and Remcord he crafted an outstanding EP, Minerals.

The opening track, on which Mike Tohr collaborates with Amari is one brilliant melodic breeze. Stretched out arpeggio, lush grooves and a happy melody that turns an instant smile on your face. This one is summer proof!

‘Opal’, made together with Remcord sounds a bit darker. It reminds us of a Maya Jane Coles sound. Love the hypnotizing atmosphere on this track. Mid-track it becomes hauntingly & powerful with a rousing rhythm. This one if for early mornings. By the way, don’t forget to check out ‘Sura‘, Remcord’s captivating release on Atmosphere Records from a while ago

“Clay”, the third track, featuring Nico Morano is more bass heavy with synth arpeggios to make this one very lively. It sure is a bombastic banger for heavy shaking. A real floor shuffler.
