Voodoo Village 2022 announces first names

Voodoo Village 2022

Summer 2020 was a wipe-out due to Covid, but 2021 was a success, with some 10,000 festival-goers. Now we’re looking forward to the sixth Voodoo Village, to be held at s’ Gravenkasteel in Humbeek on 10 and 11 September 2022. The festival will now be spread over two days, and the festival site has also been significantly expanded, providing some 25,000 visitors with an even more intense experience in the mythical festival village.

It all started with a few open-air performances in Dilbeek in 2015, expanding the following year into a proper little festival in a meadow in the village. From 2017 onwards, Maxim Dekegel, Mathias Vlaeminck and Axelle Dekegel have adopted a new approach in a new location. Voodoo Village moved to the idyllic setting of s’ Gravenkasteel in Humbeek, finding the perfect partner in Didier t’Serstevens, the current owner and occupant of the castle.

Voodoo Village 2021 – Official Aftermovie

On Saturday 10 September Voodoo Village will feature big names including Fedele, Pan-Pot and KEINEMUSIK, with unique back-to-back appearances by &ME, ADAM PORT and RAMPA

Chill Zones

This year for the first time Voodoo Villagers will be able to enjoy techno and deep house beats over two days spread across 5 main stages.

Up to last year, space for the festival was limited, but this year sees the addition of extra Chill Zones, particularly around the castle’s moat, where you can sit quietly, catch your breath or just chill out with friends. Voodoo Village can now accommodate around 12,500 visitors each day. To guarantee smooth arrivals and departures, we will be laying on our own shuttle buses to and from Brussels, Ghent, Antwerp, Leuven, Mechelen, Hasselt and even Bruges.

Headline acts on Sunday include Monolink, Damian Lazarus, Fjaak, Mind Against, Recondite and Stavroz

Voodoo Boat

If you’re not coming by car, bike or bus, you can opt to take a boat from Brussels to Humbeek on the Willebroek canal. One hundred passengers on each trip can enjoy the perfect intro to a day at Voodoo Village, with all the beats and snacks you need on board. Boarding is at Tour & Taxis in Brussels, and the canal boat will moor just a hundred metres from the festival site after an hour-long cruise. The ferry service can handle around 400 passengers per day. The return trip by shuttle bus is included in the price of the boat trip.

If you don’t have sea legs but want to make things as convenient as possible you can book a hotel package. After checking in, you will be taken to the festival by shuttle bus, and brought back to your hotel at the end of the event.

Food Market

Right from the start, Voodoo Village has been one of the festivals to offer a real experience, helped along by the leafy setting with a castle as a backdrop, the fantastic music and of course the hip audience. As the icing on the cake, we will be graced with the presence of some culinary stars in the Voodoo Village restaurant. Festival-goers deciding to settle for something a little less elaborate are bound to find something to their liking at one of the food trucks, most of which offer vegetarian options.
