Can you begin by telling how you first got into producing electronic music, how old you were and what interested you the most?
It’s not too long ago when I first tried to produce music. I was 22 years young and I realized that in this scene you have to act not only as a DJ but also as a music producer, to move forward. That’s why I looked at tutorials on YouTube and also asked advice from other music producers as to which hardware and software would be suitable for me. I spent days and weeks sitting in front of my PC and fiddled around. On 21 July 2017 my first single “Elephant” was finally released on Seveneves Records.

Music can express what words cannot. That is why I love and live for music. The electronic music scene remains true to its roots and that’s what I appreciate so much about it – touching people with music.

What artists have impressed you recently?
I am currently impressed by Hugel and Lost Frequencies. These two artists remain true to themselves and inspire millions of people with their music and not with trivial entertainment.

Your latest remix is being released Found Frequencies – Could you give an idea on how you went about creating it in the studio?
I liked the theme of the song “Sun is shining” by Lost Frequencies very much and was inspired by the fact that the remix in the studio was very fast.

What inspires you most to do what you do?
I love this moment when you play your newly produced track for the first time and the crowd celebrates it. So to a yet unknown track. This special feeling makes it something very special for me. In these days, when commerce is increasing, this is a rather rare event.

In the studio, I try to realize the ideas that come to my mind during work or study. Most of the time it turns out to be difficult, but that’s what makes it so demanding and grips my ambition.

What was the most memorable moment for you in the last years?
In winter 2019, when Lost Frequencies played my track “Serval” on the mainstage of Tomorrowland Winter Edit. A long-awaited dream came true for me and from that moment on I knew that everything is possible.

And what would you most like to forget again?
When I was the support of a bigger act, I saw for the first time that someone “played” with a prepared set. No live performance, nothing. Everything just faked. No live performance, nothing. Everything just faked and pretended. I was stunned and disappointed at the same time.

What’s your personal idea of a stunning DJ mix?
Track selection and when to play which track is essential. The DJ should always keep an eye on his audience and also have a certain sensitivity for the transitions. As a guest, I always prefer melodic, driving DJ sets.

What do you love most on touring, playing & producing?
Being on tour, mostly the trips to the clubs and festivals. One is on the road for a longer period of time with his dearest people. While playing it’s that moment when you do a hard take-over and hand over to your fellow DJ. The audience applauds your set. A much greater tribute is almost impossible. I always put a lot of attention on a signature synthesizer in my tracks. So when I’m producing it’s that moment when I know I’ve found my perfect synth.

MEUTE live ensemble chose one of your tracks to perform live and will release it on their upcoming album. How does it come to this?
About 2 months after my release of the “Panda”, MEUTE called me via my mobile phone. At that time I didn’t know that the band is on tour worldwide and covers only the tracks of the biggest acts on the globe. They introduced themselves briefly and told me that they would like to cover my track. Almost 1.5 years later my Panda came as their official first release for their new album. For me as a young music producer a true honour.

What’s your secret to maintaining the quality in a high level?
As a DJ you always have to be up to date. It is important not to play always the same titles. The music style should still be clearly recognizable. As a producer, you need a certain amount of time to commit yourself musically. But it is also important to give yourself time. If you try to do something on cramp it usually goes wrong. My secret is patience and belief in yourself. Stay true to yourself.

Anything else on the horizon for you release wise that you’d like to share with us?
In the next months, new releases are planned. Also a new edition of Oscar House feat. Armen Paul is in the starting blocks. For 2020, 5 releases are planned. I will continue to produce diligently and realize my next planned step. I will also continue to develop my own podcast series HOUSE IS THE ANSWER.

Thank you!
