David Glass – Curious (tawy025)

Fresh release on the Take Away imprint. This time it’s UK based British beat maker David Glass who returns to the label with a new EP called ‘Curios’. Furthermore there are 3 remixes to be found on the EP. His previous release on the label dates back from end 2013, and was called ‘Street Lights’.

The first original mix and title track ‘Curious’ for sure is one that will get you on your feet. Funky tech house vibes with a deeper end. Repetitive vocals give it a bit of a haunting feeling. Just to make sure you don’t stop dancing. Keep going … dance, dance dance! The Will Brothers lay their hands on the original and create an funky rolling version of it.

Vibes on steroids.

The other original on the EP, ‘On My Mind’, a tech house track in the purest form. Rash beats, quirky built-ups and a wobble heavy rhythm. When on repeat it becomes a happy tune. Spencer K’s dub version does not slow down the beat, it evens adds more rhythms & beats. Really groovy and honestly, we don’t know if we can call this a dub version.

The runaway mix, also by Spencer K, runs at a slower pace. Weighty vocals & conjuring groovy beats with a swung. Hop hop hop until you drop.
