Coming from southern Italy, he grew up as dj within the golden age of house music. He’s actually discovering different sides of electronic music and is exploring and developing new moods and styles within his tracks. Skilled & ecletic are the key words of his musical concept as witnessed by the different labels he worked with: SSOh, Analog, Underground Collective, King Street, Be As One, Circle Music, Salted, Bouq, Stereo, SOLE Channel to name a few.

Francesco Tarantini truly represents the new breed of artists, mixing in perfect harmony the old school elements and the new grooves in his recent production. His hard work results in gaining the respect and support from the best djs worldwide. Naming a few: Luciano, Marco Carola, Little Louie Vega. We’d say Francesco is one to follow.

He recently released his debut EP ‘Cicas’ on Antura Records. It’s a blast if you ask us. 3 Groovy originals and 2 remixes.

Cicas EP

The first track ‘Cicas’ starts with some great rythmic Latin bongos and should get you moving instantly. Along the way synths and saxophone samples come in and create a great bombastic athmosphere. This track creates a rousing feeling and excitement. Get your dancing shoes shined up and get ready for some hot and sweaty nights.

Mirko Flowers’ remix of Cicas is a little more uptempo and gets you in a uplifted state-of-mind. Steven Voorn’s remix on the other hand takes a turn left into a dark alley, using some heavy vocal samples. Not bad at all!

Next track, ‘Wanna do right’ is particularly impressive. For us this should have been the title track. It’s a sublime, jazzy and uptempo track with sexy vocals and organ sounds.

‘On earth’ takes you on a funky ride with some jazzy vibes along the road. Feels light and danceable.
