Hassan El Shafei, aka SHAF, joins Ahmed Saad on ‘Ya Man Hawah’

Cairo-born producer Hassan El Shafei steps into his new alias SHAF with ‘Ya Man Hawah’, a striking collaboration with Egyptian vocalist and actor Ahmed Saad on Dharma. Best known for his chart-topping pop work, Hassan El Shafei now shifts focus back to electronic music as SHAF, fusing authentic North African and Middle Eastern textures with deep, contemporary Afrotech. Saad’s emotion filled voice cuts dramatically through the soundtrack, expressive, emotive, and rooted in tradition, while SHAF layers cinematic synths, subtle groove work, and a lush melodies. It’s a confident new direction from an artist connecting the dots between his cultural and musical roots and reshaping them through a club-focused lens.
