“Baile da Plataforma” has a title that hints at Brazilian influences — what inspired the track, and what’s the story behind the name?

The collaboration actually happened by accident. We were listening to baile funk on Spotify—a style we really love for its energy and vibe. We stumbled upon the original “Baile da Plataforma”, released a few years back. We decided to take the vocal and create a new version with Latin and African sounds that are dear to us, while keeping the electronic elements that have become a big part of our identity.

How did the collaboration between the two of you come about? What drew you to work together creatively?

We’ve been working together since 2018. We have different but complementary ideas: Ben brings a strong sense of percussion, while SIROB focuses more on melodies and arrangement. We always manage to find common ground between our influences and tastes. For us, music is first and foremost about having fun—and we definitely have a lot of it in the studio. That’s what matters most.

The track blends electronic beats with tribal and Latin elements — what was the production process like to achieve that balance?

We always try to keep an organic core element in our tracks. The great thing is that we often use ancestral instruments that bring a lot of emotion. On top of that, we layer very polished electronic elements, which add a lot of energy — whether it’s deep basslines inspired by Tech House or even more electronic ones from Bass House. But what really ties everything together is the percussion: we blend organic percussion with electronic ones to drive the track’s energy throughout.

What tools or techniques did you use to give the track its infectious dancefloor energy?

The variation of reverb on the vocal and the vocal chops are really what bring the energy to the track. The bass and drums then come in to support and elevate the whole thing.

One Seven is known for its strong identity in the pop and EDM scenes — what was it like working with them, and did it influence the track in any way?

Absolutely! The label often asks for shorter versions tailored for platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and so on — to meet current industry standards. Luckily, this track naturally fit into that format.

Have you thought about a live version or music video for “Baile da Plataforma”? How do you envision the visual side of this release?

It’s not planned at the moment, but who knows — it might happen depending on how successful the single becomes.
Visually, we always try to go for something bright and positive, very much in line with the Brazilian and Mediterranean cultures that we love.

What can we expect next from SIRØB and Ben Carter — more collaborations or upcoming solo projects on the horizon?

Definitely! We’re working on several projects at the moment — including a big one, but nothing official yet, so we’re keeping it a secret for now, haha. We also have a few dates together this summer.

    Thank you!

It matters little whether you are an artist or a visitor, the love for music is the unifying factor.

We are a magazine & record label dedicated to quality underground electronic music. We do not look for just any music or anyone, we are looking for music, and people who create memorable experiences, that inspires and invokes emotion. Let’s create timeless music.
