Thanks for chatting with us today! Firstly, how has the year been so far? Have there been any standout moments for you?

Thanks for having me! 2023 had many ups and downs… But when I look back on the year, I am very happy with what I have achieved musically.

Congratulations on your new ‘Imagination’ EP! Can you tell us how the EP came about? Was it always destined to land on Terminal M?

I love experimenting with new sounds while still staying true to my signature sound. That’s how the EP was created, and yes, the tracks were always intended for Terminal M.

You’ve had a string of releases on the imprint over the last couple of years, how did your relationship with the label begin?

Yes, that’s true. In the meantime, several releases have come about. I’ve always wanted to be a part of the Terminal M family, so it’s a dream come true for me. Initially, I sent all my demos to Terminal M but didn’t receive any feedback, which was often frustrating. But one day, Monika Kruse responded to two demos I had sent, and that’s when I had my first release on the Banger VA. To the readers, I would say, stick with it, it’s worth it, and don’t give up too quickly. Since then, a strong friendship has developed with Monika.

How would you describe your own development as an artist and the journey to finding your sound?

As an artist, I have undergone significant development. Initially, I was often unsure, but now I know exactly what to do and what works. However, it was clear to me early on that developing one’s own sound is crucial. When this sound was well-received, I knew I was on the right path.

How much inspiration do you get from your environment and how much comes from the artists you listen and look up to?

I rarely draw my inspiration from the environment but rather from emotions. I often experiment with sounds to see which ones harmonize well together. Of course, I also get inspired by other artists; there’s so much great music and talent out there. But it does happen sometimes that I listen to other DJs at a rave and experience the reactions of the crowd to a particular track, and that of course, inspires me too

Can you take us through your process of creating a new track in the
studio?

Sure! First, I create a kick, which serves as the foundation. Then, I play around with the drumming until I have a loop that convinces me. After that, I either choose a bass or play around with synthesizers to come up with a catchy melody. I then build on that and arrange the track.

Do you prefer to work solo or collaborate with other artists?

Since I’ve had bad experiences with collaborations, I currently prefer working alone on new tracks. I’ve been let down multiple times, and promises were made that weren’t kept. In the end, it was a lot of work for me, and I was very disappointed.

Can you give us some insight into what we can expect from you for the rest of the year?

My next release will be on Alaula Music, and it will be a follow-up to my track ‘Let’s Be Free.’ I’m very excited to see how you’ll find the track. I’ve already received great reactions when playing it live.

Where can our readers catch you next?

Next, I will be playing in Hungary, and it will be my debut in the country. I’m
really looking forward to the gig!

Thank you.
