Metal first

Jacob Singer is Jesus Gonzalez Romero, Spanish producer and DJ. He signed his debut on Univack Records with a fantastic EP ‘Cuarzo’. Made a great shift in his musical career. Starting out playing the guitar and being heavily influenced by rock and metal for a long time. Being a fan of Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, Metallica just like many of us, we can’t blame him for this.

But after discovering artists and bands like Massive Attack, The Prodigy, Goldie, DJ Shadow, Orbital, Cold Cut there was a mental shift towards his interest in music. A new passion was born.

One of his first releases came in 2012 and soon after got picked up by great artists like Hernan Cattaneo, Airwave, Gai Barone, Lemon 8. Last year he got signed on the well-known Bonzai Records. Today Jacob Singer is seen as a progressive techno veteran.

Aldebaran

As said, Jacob Singer is about the release his debut EP on the Spanish Univack Records. The imprint is known for their progressive releases. So this one fits in perfectly and will make its entry like a whirlwind for sure.

‘Cuarzo’ contains 3 original tracks of which we get to premiere the opening track ‘Aldebaran’. From the start, this one grabs your attention. Dark moody waves setting the pace and atmosphere. Jacob brilliantly demonstrates the depth and variety of his skills in this track that is rich in details.
