Future Stars #03: GeräuschKulisse

Here we go with a third installment in our Future Stars series. This sublime mix comes from German talent GeräuschKulisse who is doing more than his best to make stunning mixes and music. We’d like to thank him for this great edition filled with fantastic work.

Where are you from?
I’m from Saarbrücken, the capital of Saarland. A part of Germany right next to the French border.

What do you find inspirational about where you’re living?
I really enjoy traveling in nature. Fortunately, in the area where I live, we have many beautiful and quiet places where you can relax and recharge your batteries. The local techno scene inspires me over and over again and has accompanied me for over 10 years now.

Could you tell us a bit about your music background?
As a teenager, I mostly listened to Hip Hop, R&B or Reggae. Later I got to know and found love for electronic music at festivals like the Nature One, Love Parade, Fusion etc.

When did you start DJing/producing?

What or who are your passions and influences?
In fact, I started recording mixtapes relatively late. About 5 years ago with very modest equipment and at first only for me. Friends finally got me thinking of putting it online because they liked a lot what I was doing. So eventually, I did put everything online and was more than surprised by the many positive reactions. This was soon followed by the first podcasts, radio shows and about a year later the first booking.

What can we expect from the mix you made?
I love music that awakens and touches emotions. Powerful and soulful tracks that you cannot forget anymore. Artists like Francesco Tristano, Paji, Stephan Bodzin, Solomun.

What will the (near) future hold for you?
This mix hides many of my current and some of my absolute favorite tracks. A mix for the way to work, the lunch break or as a warm-up for a long party night.
