Nicole Moudaber + Rumor = Amazing

If you are looking for the best of the best in music, atmosphere & service look no further than Rumor in the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, PA. Located in the heart of Center City, this ultra-chić, 10.000 square foot facility boasts 4 different upscale rooms each with it’s own distinct modern theme and vibe. The rooms range from a lavish vault all the way to New York / Miami style main room where the best headliners in the world showcase their talents. All fully equipped with huge bars and happy people.

Rumor_Slideshow_4The night before the reigning Techno Queen, Nicole Moudaber and promotional juggernaut, Disco Donnie presents threw their event, legendary DJ / Producer, Alan Fitzpatrick, rocked a packed house. Unfortunately, I couldn’t go because I had my own gig at the historic Saint Lazarus and then immediately was escorted to CODA to meet and interview Claude Von Stroke’s DIRTYBIRD crew.

Over the last 30 alone days Rumor Philly has hosted Alan Fitzpatrick, Nicole Moudaber, Deadmau5, Jeremy Olander, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and Hardwell. Over the next 2 weeks or so Rumor will play host Pleasurekraft, superstar Morgan Paige, the legendary Danny Howels and Philadelphia’s own amazing DJ / Producer, Pete Moss.

In other words, RUMOR IS KILLING IT!!

From the VIP host, Mike T., to the super-professional security team to the fantastic coat-check girls to the waitresses and bartenders all the way to the Director of Marketing, Ravi Bayanker, everyone was top shelf. That includes the opening acts, DJs Salvo and SAT ONE, who properly set the table for IMDA nominee and Techno icon Nicole Moudaber.

“We’ve been bringing Nicole to Philly since 2012 and it has been utterly inspiring to watch her grow from a world-class promoter to a talented DJ/producer, label boss and global techno icon. Nicole – we forgive you for not loving the cheesesteak!” – Ravi Bayanker, Director of Marketing

Arguably the best DJ in the world, Nicole Moudaber is coming off an amazing start to 2016. She rang in the New Year at Heart Night Club in Miami followed by an open to close set at the famous STEREO in Montreal, Canada and then went on to destroy the crowd at the BPM Festival in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. She’s nominated right now for 2 IDMA (International Dance Music Association) awards including Best House/Techno DJ and Best House/Techno track, Alcatraz – Giv Me Luv (Nicole Moudaber Remix)

Arguably the best DJ in the world, Nicole Moudaber is coming off an amazing start to 2016.

Tune in below to see the recorded set of Nicole’s special beachfront sunset set during the BPM Festival:

From early beginnings in Nigeria to throwing parties in Beirut and eventually becoming a respected London promoter, Nicole Moudaber has experienced the very best of dance music. She brought her passion from the dance floor to the booth and eventually into the studio with her 2012 remix of Carl Cox’s “Chemistry”. It was at that point her path veered towards the iconic status for which she’s known today.

Nicole laced a packed house with some newer works like Pleasurekraft’s “Defiler” EP from her very own Mood Records label as well as her own creations from her most recent release “Silent Sigh” EP. Every minute was pure Techno heaven. The crystal clear sound system celebrated this driving, hard yet melodic sound that Nicole has handcrafted over the past decade. Not a single person could remain still in that main room dance floor and I was no exception.

There’s no limits for Nicole’s 2016 horizon. This February she’ll be playing the US debut of Awakenings NYC at Hammerstein Ballroom on Valentine’s Day back-to-back with Victor Calderone, in addition to North American tour stops at Shrine in Connecticut, Philly’s Rumor, Story in Miami and returning to Mexico for Insomniac’s EDC Mexico. Stay tuned for more information as Nicole will bring her annual MoodDAY and MoodNIGHT events to Miami Music Week 2016! Fans can rejoice as the techno connoisseur makes her awaited return to Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival where Nicole will perform with Skin of Skunk Anansie both weekends in the desert. Nicole and Skin released their acclaimed collaborative ‘BREED’ EP  in fall 2015.

“I discovered the artist in me on the dance floor…” – Nicole Moudaber

Between the one of a kind atmosphere, amazing staff and world class sounds of Nicole Moudaber, in the flesh, my experience at Rumor was a HOME RUN! I look forward to being in the house again and covering the best acts in the World at this fantastic venue for Tanzgemeinschaft.
