Where are you from and what do you find inspirational about where you’re living?
I’m from Berlin, where I grew up in Kreuzberg – a quite alternative and very diverse district. Growing up here was a wonderful experience, given the varied and multicultural atmosphere that this neighborhood is breathing. For me, Berlin still constitutes a space within which one can try out different concepts of life, experimenting and simply being. The creative community in all its crazy and colorful diversity is super inspiring and very empowering.
Where does your passion for electronic music come from?
For me it’s absolutely amazing to see and experience the broad spectrum of different atmospheres, emotions and states of mind that can be evoked through electronic music.
My passion for electronic music grew within me during my early twenties, when I started to immerse myself in the mesmerizing and enticing Berlin nightlife. Experiencing the connecting and uniting power of all the different kinds of electronic music is still up to this day one of the most essential aspects of this incredible community.
How has your music been influenced by other artists, musicians, or life in general?
Before I got hooked by electronic music I was really into punk rock and played for a couple of years in an alternative punk rock band as well. Through longer periods of living abroad, I then started to really understand the fascination and magnetic appeal that Berlin constitutes for so many people from all over the world and the quintessential part that electronic music also plays in that.
Through extended stays abroad in the US, Colombia, China, Greece and Tunisia I was able to absorb many different influences which definitely influence my music and inspire me to create varied musical experiences.
Music in all its colorful splendor is a never ending source of inspiration and wellbeing for me – being able to create carefully crafted auditive journeys for other people on the dancefloor is pure joy for me.
What excites you the most as a DJ/producer?
Definitely the moments of pure joy and ecstasy when the people on the dancefloor and I myself both are just feeling that exact moment, dancing away to the steady kick, deep bass lines and seducing synths that temporarily manage to create a unique reality right there in that moment, where everything just flows.
When it comes to music production I’m currently still exploring and playing around a lot with the fascinating amount of possibilities, while refining my mixing and mastering skills.
What can we expect from the mix you made us?
This mix is a deep, emotional yet also very energetic journey. You can expect an enchanting and intriguing ride, which will make sure to put you in a festive and ecstatic mood right away.
