TGMS Future Stars #61: Terrarium

Our next TGMS Future Stars is an aspiring producer, DJ, promoter and surely an electronic music lover. Terrarium comes from Kraków, Poland. When not performing, he spends his time in the studio creating his own music.

Having spent 2 years playing at all of the major local night clubs in Kraków (alongside local hard-hitters and national acts alike). DJing special events and promoting his own shows, Terrarium has had a lot of time to develop his own sound. For him, it’s all about mood and a deep, hypnotic groove. Playing those tracks that get you tapping your feet without even realizing it, regardless of genre, tempo, style, or release date. Now he moved to Warsaw focussed on producing his own music and promote local stages.

Where are you from (city/area) and what makes that place special?
I am from Krakow, this is a beautiful city in Poland, which is distinguished by magnificent architecture and nightlife.

Where does your passion for electronic music come from?
My passion for electronic music starts when I was young and I found some old cassettes from my brother. He listened to Portishead, Massive Attack, The Prodigy and trance music from the ’90s.

Tell us about what first got you started into electronic music?
When I started visiting Prozak 2.0 Club in Cracow. I spent a lot of nights listening melodic electronic music when I heard first time on Funktion One sound system which they have. Ohh, it was love at first sight. 😉

How would you describe your sound and style?
I like to make us of oriental instruments in my music, deep bass line and melodic samples. It’s hard to explain, you need to listen to my podcasts. 🙂

What can we expect from the mix you made us?
Definitely my mood from the day when I recorded it. In my mixes, I try to express myself and tell some music story. What I have in my head when I play.

What is your source for finding great tracks for your set?
Basically, I have a lot of channels I follow on Youtube, Soundcloud and I do my own research on a daily basis to keep up with fresh sounds. I also check Beatport, Bandcamp. And my friends send me a lot of promo releases
