Where are you from and what do you find inspirational about where you’re living?

I am from Johannesburg, South Africa but I live in Plymouth, United Kingdom. Most of my inspiration comes from my hometown, house music is the common language of Johannesburg, so I grew up appreciating house music. I spent my teenager years experiencing the lively nightlife of Johannesburg which quickly grew into becoming an artist myself. I moved to the united kingdom to find new opportunities and to spread my message further. 

Where does your passion for electronic music come from?

My passion for electronic music comes from many nights spent at a nightclub in South Africa called Truth, it was a club which focused on the underground sounds of local and international artists. After supporting every event for years I decided I wanted to be the person controlling the emotions of the night, this developed into a strong passion for making people groove and sharing my diverse collection of electronica and melodic sounds. 

What excites you the most as being a DJ?

The thing that excites me the most about being a DJ is the fact that I have the ability to open peoples minds to music they have never experienced before ! there is too much mainstream mass produced music out there and I feel people need to experience the billions of underground sounds the world has to offer. I love the fact that the crowds night is literally in my hands ! I control their emotions and feelings for a few hours and this is truly a beautiful thing ! 

How has your music been influenced by other artists, musicians, or life in general?

A lot of my influence comes from local talent including Ryan Murgatroyd who is now pushing the boundaries of his sound with releases on “Get Physical” and more.. he helped me realise no matter where you come from you have the chance to really make a career with your music ,and to never give up ! I have been playing piano and drums since I was a young boy due to the fact my family is very musical and I’ve always had a passion for rhythm. This has gravitated towards to sound and my growth as an electronic artist.

What can we expect from the mix you made us?

This mix I’ve recorded for you is exactly what I stand for in the industry, its a collection of melodic and rhythmic deeper sounds of house and techno with some of my own productions as well as my all-time favourites and a few new releases! I love to take chances when I mix and I never play it safe, this mix is an example of that!
