Your latest single “Malo Malo” with Bla-de and Yvvan Back just dropped on MIBARRIO Records. How did the collaboration come about, and what inspired the track?

I was in the studio with Yvvan and we reached out to Bla-Dee for a collaboration, and he agreed by sending us some vocal ideas. The concept of the track was to create a hypnotic Latin tech House track that could make the girls dance. When we sent him the final result, he told us that we had nailed the goal, it was exactly the vibe we were all looking for!

You’ve played everything from underground clubs to bigger festivals. How does your approach to a set change depending on the stage you’re on?

They’re two different situations, you know. In a club, I really try to read the crowd and adapt  the set, it’s more intimate, so I can feel the energy in the room and switch things up depending on how people are reacting. I like that kind of back-and-forth.

But on bigger stages, it’s more about leading the crowd through my musical journey. There’s less room for improvisation, but more opportunity to make a more coherent set.

You’ve explored various subgenres of House and Tech House throughout your career. Is there a particular sound or scene that’s inspiring you most right now?

I’m always trying to evolve myself and my sound, actually I get inspiration from amazing djs like Franky Rizardo, Paco Osuna and Cloonee and trying to mix some classic house elements (i grew up listening to house music) with more modern Tech House grooves and a spice of latin percussions too…

You’ve made it into the Beatport Top 100 three times. Which track has brought you the most satisfaction, and why?

Clap Clap’ is still my best-selling track, and it definitely holds a special place for me. It gave me that initial push the motivation to keep producing and to constantly aim higher. Seeing it connect with so many people really boosted my confidence at the time.

Milan has a vibrant music scene. How has growing up and working in that city shaped your sound and career?

Milan’s music scene has changed a lot over the years. Big clubs are slowly disappearing, but the upside is that a lot of smaller, quality-focused venues are popping up  places with a more selective crowd and a real passion for music.

I started out over 10 years ago as a resident in more mainstream clubs, but now I’m carving out my own path in the underground scene, building a community that truly connects with my music.

As a resident DJ in some of the top clubs in Northern Italy, what have you learned about reading the crowd that you now bring into your music production?

Being a resident DJ really helped me a lot with production. Over time, I learned what actually works on the dancefloor and what not. I’ve made tons of bootlegs and edits of pretty much any track you can imagine  (some of them were honestly pretty terrible) but that process taught me a lot of production skills!

Looking ahead — are there any upcoming projects, collaborations, or releases you can give us a sneak peek into?

There’s a lot of exciting stuff coming up! I’ve got some upcoming collaborations with my brother Draxx(ITA) and another one with Blow. Plus, there’s a big project in the works:  a record label!

It’s still a bit early to go into details, but stay tuned… fresh things are on the way.

Thank you!
