House Music legends Michael Gray and Barbara Tucker have come together to deliver a spectacular 2026 re‑imagining of the soulful house anthem ‘I Get Lifted’. First released on Strictly Rhythm in 1994 and written by Louie Vega and Ron Carroll, the track has remained a landmark moment in US house history. Now, more than two decades later, it returns with a fresh, club‑ready makeover shaped for today’s party people and the growing Fool’s Paradise community. Built around Michael Gray’s irresistible uplifting keys, a warm, animated groove and Barbara Tucker’s unmistakable vocal presence, the new version of ‘I Get Lifted’ aims to capture the same feel‑good energy that defined the original while giving it a shimmering modern house flavour. The pair debuted the new single live earlier this month on the Fool’s Paradise stage at the Electric Paradise festival to a huge receptive crowd, paving the way to a Traxsource No.1 smash! 

Barbara Tucker remains one of house music’s most recognisable voices, with a career spanning countless anthems and collaborations on labels including Strictly Rhythm, Defected, King Street and her own BStar Music Group. Her influence continues to shape the soulful side of the genre. Michael Gray, meanwhile, stands as one of the UK’s most celebrated house producers and a long‑time Fool’s Paradise favourite.
